Smile [Team.AU] 3DMARK03 Global World Record

    Hey fellas,

So i decided to play around with some of the 7970 GPUs i used to bench with but found out i didn't have enough live ones to do 4WAY so mixed and matched 3 cards and pulled out some decent runs tonight, 3DMARK03 global WR decent that is . This new Gigabyte Z87X-OC + Haswell platform is a cracker. Crazy fast compared to ivy bridge.

btw guys, TeamAU has a facebook page https://www.facebook.com/teamauoc
We tend to hang out there a fair bit these days. Lots of interesting stuff, OC guides, bios profiles, records, douche baggery, come and say hi

    Test system:
    • GIGABYTE Z87X-OC
    • GIGABYTE 7970OC x2
    • GIGABYTE 7970SOC x1

4way setup ready to go. OC Brace that comes with the Z87X-OC is such a life saver when you try setup 4way watercooled or subzero. love it

Did some testing today again with GIGABYTE Z87X-OC, 4770K and 4WAY GIGABYTE 7970s

it was a test session with a few hardware configs and turned into a bit of full out bench, fun times

Managed a new 3DMARK03 global WR

    3DMARK06, fastest 4WAY 7970

    3DMARK05, fastest 4WAY 7970

    Global 3DMARK03 world record

crazy as always,it's nice to see gigabyte continue the great 4way efficiency...
is this oc-force motherboard or the regular oc cause i see you can run the cards @x8 pci-e speeds
one question bro,do you think ln2 on cards and let's say 1400mhz on cores can help in 03 or it becomes cpu bottlenecked at these speeds?

    hey dude

this is the OC board burried under those GPUs so the GPUs ran 8 4 4 4. They are mismatched GPUs and i am getting some weird lane readings for the two SOC models which i have to work out still man (two cards reading PCIe3 and 2x PCIe1.1). 3WAY is still probably a bit more efficient too so LN2 with 3 cards should see higher scores. Best scores will come from 2x7990 which i dont have unfortunately. I am yet to pull out the OC Force to test to be honest so that is yet to come, as is another board "thou shalt not speak of"

on the question of scaling. The GPUs are still bottlenecked so it's not that easy to squeeze that last little bit. more testing needed to confirm though.

cheers fellas, i did some mooooooooooooooooar benching today

Got more efficient and hit #3 global 3DMARK06 and refreshed the #1 global 3DMARK03

getting close to freezing the cards next. It's scaling with GPU frequency

I used tripple Xfire this time and OC Touch buttons in 3DMARK06. CPU was at 6.1GHz for CPU tests

    hey mate thanks

There's more room here. Neither one of these scores was the most efficient run, it was just a run that would let me finish LOL. Both will go higher at existing settings but of course have to work harder for the score now LOL. Time to freeze GPUs also . Now i need an extra pair of hands in the benchroom heheh.
