    7.2.9 vs current 7.3.6

    I realized I still have a little older version running on my PC (GPU, nVidia GTS250). It seems to be working fine, so is there any benefit to upgrading it to 7.3.6 (and risking it screwing up lol) or should I just consider it a "it ain't broke so don't fix it" type deal? I'm leaning towards leaving it alone, but wanted to check with you guys who may be more "in the loop" than I am since I've been out of it for so long.

    Cant say that i'm more in the loop really just returning myself but yesterday i was screwing around with something i probably should not have been and lost my folding icon in the corner of my screen and uninstalled and reinstalled expecting to lose the work units i was crunching away at but to my suprise on reinstallation the work units picked up right were they left off.

    As to compare the 7.2 to the newer version i have no idea if there are any benefits but i see something about them wanting you to update when you click your web control pop up.

    When you click on the folding icon thingamabob in the bottom of your screen one of the options to see your folding progress is web control.

    I also went from getting 70-80k a day down to 17-19k a day......even though the control screen says I I should be getting 30-32k.

    I'm going to try and go back to 7.2.9 and see what that does.

    If I don't get the issue resolved this weekend I'm going to stop folding......it's now just a waste of time.....

    I see you have 2x GTX-480's - are you getting the -beta WUs (with the bonus points)? not sure if you need a 500+ GPU to get those WUs....I ended up turning off my CPU folding entirely and just use the GPU now. you might try it and see what happens (if you haven't already)...

    I think I finally fixed my problem. I had a little time over the holidays to tweek a few different voltages.
    Vccio = 1.0825, VTT DDR = 0.85 and CPU PLL = 1.825
    I have as of now been up 1d 21h and 7m.

    We'll see how long it stays up this week.

    Sometimes I long for the "good old days" - CPU voltage, DIMM voltage, FSB speed, multiplier, done lol. All this other stuff gets me confuzzled.

    Alright!!!! I have been up over a week now with no BSOD's!

    But I'm not getting a whole lot of points.... About half I was before my problems.

    I hope it's just the WU's I'm getting.....
