AMD FX-9590 - in FlanK3rs hands and in review

AMD FX-9590 ES review at PCTUNING (use translate from czech language to english). At the beginning I wanna tell two things.
    1) Intel CPUs has 1600 MHz DRAm as default IMC settigs, AMD 1866-2133, depends at model.
2)Intel Z87/77 motherboards have set sometimes wrong Intel stock Turbo, so I set it right and manually at 39 (one)-38 (two)-38 (three)-37(for loading) for cores (3770k+4770k)

For graphs: "m?ně je l?pe" = "lower value is better" "v?ce je l?pe" = "higher value is better"

Could you please add a cinebench 11.5 single thread? It would be interesting to see how the 5GHz Turbo helps.
On the last graph, did the Ivy perform better than the Haswell or it's a mix up?

yes, in last graph is Ivy better, there was few situation where Ivy was better with manual settings of turbo.

Is it better for OC than a good 8350?

Obviously the FX-8350 would score exactly the same, outside of maybe power consumption numbers which can't be realistically compared due to the fact that the FX-8590 numbers are on stock CPU VID while an overclocked FX-8350 would need much more than stock turbo pstate VID to reach 5 GHz Turbo, and the fact that the user would most obviously select the bare minimum voltage needed for stability (which also can't be easily tested for Turbo) which would not be the same as a factory VID with some cushion.

Why the much slower memory speeds on the intel systems? 1600 -> 2133 is going to make a difference.

I imagine because that's what Intel's SSpec is.

well technically fx is specced at 1866, including the 9590, so 2133 is out of spec.

Ah you didn't read what both of us posted the 6800K is spec'ed to 2133 and the 9590 is spec'ed to 1866 his review lists them same.

As others have requested, please consider comparing with generic 8350 at intermediate clock speeds. Report minimum voltage required for stable operation.

Also of interest would be power draw at identical clock and V levels.

    Thanks.

Nice review Flank3r , are you able to test this monster on LN2 to see if is an 8Ghz validation chip ?
