    Asrock Z87M OC Formula ( Miny Beast ) + Haswell i5 4670K on Cascade = Win ..........

I have been testing one of Nickshih creations non stop for the last 48 hours on cascade, Baby Asrock Z87M OC Formula , a Micro ATX that carries a punch like Mike Tyson. This Little brother of the Full ATX Asrock Z87 OC Formula is fast , and when I mean fast , is fast in 2D and but also in 3D very fast and efficient.

For the longest time I have been playing 3DMark01 , lately I had my eyes on a Gold Cup at hwbot that I want it for a long long time but I could not reach the score needed , earlier in the night after 6 hours tweaking and tweaking and testing different settings it was Done ! Yes I reach my goal that I wanted #1 3DMark01 with the old school 3870x2 , the board had it in it , the efficiency and speed of this board is amazing , so stable even after benching 9+ hours non stop at -110c on cascade , I just could not lay off my hands of it.

    Set up:

ASRock Z87M OC Formula ( Micro ATX )
    Haswell i5 4670K
    Sapphire 3870x2 on cold water
    Team extreme 2400 Cas 9 2x4GB
    OCZ Agility 3 SSD
    Coolermaster 1500w.
My BLUE Cascade at -115 idle ~ -110c full load

Score: 136,278 #1 3870x2 Gold Cup at hwbot.

That's not all , this baby brother of the Z87 OC Formula is also darn fast in 2D.

Last night the board gave me 1st place 32m on 4670k cpu category Gold Cup, Second place 1m Silver Cup and third place pifast Golden Cup, and I just received this board yesterday , so im still learning the board , there is so much more in it I just need the time to learn this new platform and squeezed every single Mhz out of this cpu , the board is capable of maxing out any cpu . Im sure enjoying it , it is a pleasure to bench on this Mini Beast

I have a weird fetish about putting one of these into an HP case and taking it to LAN parties

Great looking results. Everyday I just get more and more confirmation that I chose the right board when I chose the full size OC Formula because if the M version clocks this well, there no telling what the big brother can do. Congrats on the chip as well. We need more good retail Silicon.

Edit: I forgot to ask. How do you think your 5.9xx ghz chip compares to your best 3770k when benching 01? I've got a 4770k that can run 5.9 for 2D, and I don't think it would be far from that for 3D, but I doubt I could beat my current 3770k which runs a hair over 6.5 through 01.

Chance, haswell is about 300MHz faster clock/clock against ivy. Your 6,5 3770k is a better chip, but you can find much better than 5,9 2d haswell. (Maybe not easy but 5,9 is in the lower end)
    Overclocking, it's a lifestyle
