OCZ Value DDR3-1333 9-9-9 6GB Triple Channel LOLWTF Edition ?

Some time, not so long ago ( ok maybe long ), I had nothing to do, was pretty bored, and started looking at my storage room for anything that would get me going for the afternoon.
I found something that looked untouched, and indeed it was
An old OCZ Value DDR3-1333 9-9-9 6GB Gold Edition Triple Channel kit from the early X58 era.

I was like "let's burn some RAM"... but no, RAM thought otherwise... it wouldn't boot at anything over 1.8V... not getting damaged either.
I tried clocking it a bit, thinking max DDR3-1500ish... boy I was so wrong

With little to no effort... come DDR3-2400 10-12-12 @ 1.7V memtest86+ in dual channel on Asus Z77 Maximus V Gene.
Max stable at "reasonable" timings was around 2470 10-13-13-31 @ 1.72V

Here's one of the validations that I can locate at the moment:

Anybody got any idea regarding the ICs ?

    Photos phollowing

As websmile suggested, the code on ICs says Elpida BDxx (BDBG or BDSE).
