Is Apple's iOS 7 Inspired By Windows Phone OS?

"Amidst much fanfare, Apple announced the latest iteration of its mobile platform at the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2013. As many of you already know, the good-old glossy and curvy design language is gone. The Cupertino-based company is going ahead with a flatter and more modern look on the iOS 7"

After trying iOS 7 beta i tend to agree, dont get me wrong WP8 is different but the difference is much less than before. To me iOS 7 seems like a mix od the old iOS with Android and WP8. Frankly speaking it looks a lot like Android with a 3rd party modifications (very sad Apple)

Nice. Apple will be down in no time.
Friends shouldn't let friends use Windows 7 until Microsoft fixes Windows Explorer (link)

No, you don't get it. Apple came up with that and Microsoft read their minds and stole it from them.

Whether they did it on purpose or not is quite irrelevant here - there is no way a normal person would use WP8 design to "better" their product!

    No normal person! Oh wait....

The only thing lacking with WP8 are apps - iOS has them. WP8 + iOS apps > Everything else on the market right now

Granted I haven't played with WP8 much, but from the little bit that I have I prefer Android. Could easily be familiarity I suppose.

Windows Phone OS's are very functional.... but boring as all hell. It'd make a great work platform if you had an Android as a personal device. I just have too much fun with Android phones, ROMs and customization. I couldn't give up that freedom and be happy with a device.

Or when you are not fully happy with it been able to use customization experience .. Im not sure the vast majority of Android users really are really so much use custom firmware, mod etc.. when looking at the market share of let say a brand starting with a S, we can doubt this is the majority.. but yes, its really pleasant to be able to use thoses customisation, and choose your firmware, play with your phone ( a little bit as you will do with your pc finally ) ..

Tell MS to fix the fugliness and people will start caring about everything else

W8 and WP8 are great OSes, but the presentation layer is mediocre at best. Even if it isn't, people don't like it.

Even if we liked it, there aren't many reasons to ditch Windows 7.

I'm using iOS7 beta 2 at the moment I really like it. It does remind me a bit of WP8, but more so of Jolia and some cydia themes.

The home screen icons and some other parts can certainly be improved upon though.
