I think it was a show where this guy was trapped on a spaceship with two robots and forced to watch bad sci fi movies.....

More seriously, the people who would care about this are other OEMs, their market share just sank or rose depending on brand they sell. (i.e. if you're Sapphire, any cards Club 3d sells, you're not)

Nobody knows and Club3D hasnt given any reason.

They are a very small Dutch company that makes both ATI and Nvidia cards (meaning another company makes them and Club3D slaps a sticker on it).

Tbh i think this decision has been made a while ago cause they havent released any 7 series Nvidia cards.
And for a company their size i can see no logic in going ATI only.

I had couple cards from them. Very nice box and they always shipped with plethora of accessories like DVI-VGA or HDMI adapters. My last Club3D was I think HD 3870. They are selling mainly in Europe so you folks across big water might not know them

And yet with these "impressive" droppings of NVIDIA they maintain a 64% add in board market share, so perhaps there were other reasons BFG went under.

    http://jonpeddie.com/press-releases/...12-crash-down/

    • Nvidia continues to hold a dominant market share position at 64%; in Q4’12, AMD shipped 4.98 million units, and Nvidia shipped 9.5 (see Figure 2).
Someone like Club 3d jumps ship out of the 64% market pool into the 36% market pool, where there are already more AIBs competing for the smaller market, it can't help Club 3d by definition.

Note: AzureSky the topic of this thread is "Club 3d leaving NVIDIA", so you don't need to post 100 benchmarks of AMD cards and start yelling about how they're a "good value". The topic is "Club 3d leaves NVIDIA", not "Let' try to convince people to buy AMD parts". Mmmkay?

Do you have anything to say about how an AIB leaving the company with almost double the AIB market share can be good for the AIB?

What does it matter if I would use the cards? Off topic much?

    Like I said:

    Club 3d is an AIB.

NVIDIA has 2/3 of the AIB market, and less AIBS selling their cards.

So how can it be a smart move for Club 3d to go to a market that is half as large with more competition in it?

This is the topic of the thread, not whether I'd use cheap cards, whether I'm a troll, what killed BFG, if Club 3d makes good cards, or anything else.

So when you respond mambling about all these other off topic factors, you are the one trolling, not me.

While my "Can NVIDIA survive the loss?!" post was indeed sarcastic, as you can see in the thread, most of us don't know who Club 3d is.

They're just not a big player in the graphics market, so whether AMD has them, or NVIDIA, probably doesn't matter to either firm all that much.

I'll put it this way: I was in NVIDIA's Focus Group for 8 years with direct access to many people on NVIDIA staff. I also talked to some of their AIBs at times. I've never heard of Club 3d.

Maybe in Amsterdam or Holland, they're the thing to have but they just were not a big player in the global market.

And you STILL haven't backed up why it could be a good move for them to go from a much larger market with less competitors, to a much smaller market with more competitors.

Just keep talking about ME. I'm starting to think I should send you a photo and one of my used t shirts as a fan memento.
