Throw Some Good Thoughts My Way Please...

    Hi everyone,

Taking my wife tomorrow morning so that they can delivery my son by C-Section about 6 weeks earlier than expected. He is currently estimated at 3lbs-15oz. Her Placenta is "bad" and his stomach is no longer growing at the needed rate so they are taking him as they are afraid he may not survive the original delivery date of June 24th. That date was already 4 weeks earlier than normal and was a scheduled C-Section as well. All this is due to her having Type 1 Diabetes even though she has been on a pump and it's been under control forquite a while.

Anyways, thought I would beg for some good karma and thoughts to be thrown my way from the most supportive people I know.

Hopefully by this time tomorrow I can post some good news and some pictures.

    Thank you!
    Dave

I wish your wife and your son all the best, hoping all goes well and you all can soon enjoy the new baby !
The birth of my son was also problematic, but in the end all went well. Children can regenerate very quick. Now he's 2 years and a very healthy boy.

I want to say thank you to all. It's been just a little hectic these past few days and all your well wishes are taken to heart. I greatly appreciate it!

Baby is doing good. He was put in NICU about a hour after birth and is still there. He was having some breathing issues when trying feed on his own and so they thought it best to take him there. Basically he is breathing to heavy/fast for them to even try and let him take a bottle, and when he slows down consistently enough for them to he won't even accept the bottle yet. He just needs to learn both. Not too uncommon with a preemie I'm told. So it looks just like a waiting game at this momemt.

Mom is doing great, although as you can imagine she is very upset he is in the NICU and having these issues. Also, he won't be coming home with us when she comes home so there is that weighing on her as well. She has all my love and support I can gather for her.

Once again, thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the support.

I created a new thread here with pictures.
