    Quick Tips
-Air cooling 32m overclocking profile is niiiice.
-Mem profiles are made with normal purchased memory kits not golden samples.
-Conformal on the big board imo is best to be used as a second defense. Eraser is the insulation of choice on that one.
-When overclocking memory if you hang on 00 or if the last code you see is 03, something is set too tight for the frequency you are using.
-Tighter timings are not always faster, play with them one at a time. I could tell you which ones matter but thats half the fun!
-Boot bclk and eventual bclk can take some ease off of training at high speed. This can also allow your RTL and I0-L to sometimes be pulled in tighter when set on auto.
-The same with hynix and BBSE, some kits dont like to train with high volts. If you are max mhz'ing hynix you can use 2.0vdimm boot and 2.3vdimm eventual etc.
-The 3000mhz memory divider at 100bclk is not useable, so use 2933 and bclk or 125 strap.
-When using 125 bclk strap, around 145 bclk you will loose stability and its advisable to switch to 167 strap at that point.

    1. Dram boot voltage & Dram eventual voltage:
Some module doesn't like too higher voltage during code training . For example : Hynix 1.74volt passed , 1.78volt failed
But u need 1.78 volt to enter os at certain frequency . Then u can set dram boot voltage = 1.74 , dram eventual voltage = 1.78.
It will help you to pass the training and also go into os without any problem.

    2. Boot bclk & Eventual Bclk : it is working same as dram boot & eventual . especially great helpful of maximum memory clocking

    3. Trdrd is the key of memory performance . Try to keep this one as 4 , even u have to loose others . U will gain more than what u lose .

    4. Memory training threshold : This is the special option by Asrock Z87(M) OCF only .
The value of clock is reference by the memory clock which u are aiming . you can keep auto from 1333 ~3400 Mhz .
But if you try to max out the memory mhz >3400~4400 , u can try to put it from 14~16 . It might do a little bit help .

    5. System agent & IO digital & IO analog : each of them has auto rule already.
If u want to put it by urself . System agent maximum value < +0.5 , IO digital <= +0.3 , IO analog <= +0.25
IO digital & IO analog helps maximum memory clock .

So .. boot is for code training , eventual is for booting into os .
Simple and easy .. enjoy it !!

    Some results.

    BBSE

    Samsung

    Hynix

*I notice there is not much wiggle room for insulation (RAM pot-CPU pot) on "M" ,how much more is there on ATX or are they both about the same ?
** will the D-Bug temp work under cold ?
*** which one will you (big banana or small banana ) recommend for RAM clocking/Pi ?

here is idea of the spacing with a pot

Maybe quarter inch between the cpu pot screws and the the mem pot

I'll take the mini, I dont ever plan to run 4 way and they oc the same. Plus the PCH gets nice and cold from the mem being close.

man..that's close ..there will be a lot of frosty pics that's for sure (I'm glad I have Gemini which have space for some Armaflex between the rods/pot )

Sweet runs, Splave! Any idea when these will be hitting the shelves? I've got money in my pocket and the hole is a burnin', but these boards just haven't hit retailers yet.

ive been throwing money at the screen all week, still no board available.

very interested in the eventual voltage to see how it plays out on some of my bbse. the "good" kit didn't like more than 1.885 and wouldn't post @ 1.95+ if I recall. I wonder if 13 sticks of bbse is enough though to get a decent set out of it...

is CAS change functional from within windows using the utility?

Haha, +1. I don't use all that much in terms of insulation as it is, and I probably won't use very much with this board. I'll cut some Frost King gaskets and call it a day.

CAS change is not functional from within Windows yet, Intel still has it locked down

Intel block all the run-time timing change this time . we cant do anything on memory timings in OS .

I hope you are too. Its quite possible the marketing dept dropped the ball.

    Timing Configurator

Timing Configurator is a fast and easy tool that provides users with an abundant collection of subtle DRAM settings for professional tweaking. It is an independent application that runs under Windows? OS and your changes will take effect immediately.

    Z77 is unlocked

    Z87 is locked

It is depends on Intel , unless Intel release the unlock function.

Damn, Intel made bad things with Haswell. No BCLK ratios for non K cpu's(not even +4multi above TURBO as IB), pretty bad first lot of cpu's, CB, blocked memory timings in OS ?
    WTF?

OCF it's on newegg, 295$, a little more expensive thant Z77 but it has more features than Z77 MB and still the cheapest comparing with concurence.

    I will buy M-OCF .

Nick, i hope OCF mb works good with Crucial Micron IC's to.
    I have 4 modules working 2600-2666 9-9-11, i hope they do well.
    These modules i'm talking about:
