Just bought a Temash Sub-Notebook today

    It's a Acer V5-122P
    with
    AMD APU A6-1450M
    6GB Memory
    500GB HDD
    11" 1366x768 LCD Touch Screen (!)
~1.2kg (Acer website stated it's 1.2kg but it feels a bit weight near 1.4~1.5kg)

    The Sub-notebook comes with MiniDP , HDMI , 1x USB 3.0 and 2x USB 2.0
    runs really cool

I bought it for ~$4000 Hong Kong Dollar (~$514 USD)

I am surprised that Jaguar Quad does run quite well despite it's 1GHz ~ 1.5GHz ( Plugged in w/AC Adapter )

I guess my Thinkpad Edge 13 can retire

Any suggestion for test to run with it is welcome

I have nice collection of old hardware tested in Cinebench 9.5 x64 and Cinebench 10.
I would also like to see Frybench benchmarked as no website has done it.
    For Graphics and general gaming:
    - 3DMark 2003
    - Half-Life 2: Lost Coast (HL2 engine should perform well)
    - other older games you have access to and are easy to benchmark

I can run cross comparison to Athlon XP Barton and up

Try Superpi 1M and 16M, if you can compare with same Phenom II at the same frequency?

Temash is impressive for the low power it consumes. It should fit nicely in the ultra portable laptop segment.

Cloning works sometimes but not always. It may or may not be Windoze 8. I have seen cloning FUBAR the Windoze Update feature and Microsucks is unable to fix the problem even if you're willing to pay their $200 fee for reporting an O/S/ defect.

My GHOST 11.5 works fine with cloning my Lenovo Thinkpad Edge 13 Windows from HDD to SSD
I guess it may have something to do with crappy SecureBoot of Windows 8

Ghost 15 needed for guaranteed W7 partition cloning and I'm not sure about W8 at all.
I had tried Acronis 10 and Ghost 10 and 12 with W7 cloning and 80% of times, depending on source HDD partitioning and possibly BIOS settings for SATA cloned W7 needed repairs or was completely corrupted .

I just finish up Clean install with Windows 7, instead of using Ghost to clone the Win 8 (which still FUBAR even I use True Image 13 Home Edition )

The Touch screen works without driver in Windows 7 (which is a good start)
Acer support website don't carry any Windows 7 driver, but you can use most of it in Windows 7 64bit
(Mine one uses Atheros WiFi+BT, different model may have different parts)

Except the Graphic card , which will show blank screen after install.

Replacing the Hard Drive and upgrade the memory require a bit skill to remove the bottom of the notebook,
but just handle it carefully you should be fine

I replaced the stock 500GB WD Blue (7mm) with a Plextor M5Pro 128GB (which will give a very nice boost)
and replaced the bundle 4GB to 8GB DDR3-1600, sadly the CPU don't support DDR3-1333 or above.

As some of you suggested the benchmark I should try, I got some of them but the Sub-Notebook doesn't have a onboard LAN and I have to download it thru WiFi (which is slow...)

I will get some pic up tonight

Sorry for no benchmark yet, the Windows update takes forever
and I am still stuck at installing Service Pack 1 update

But anyway here is the pic of the Sub-Notebook

It doesn't have HDMI Port but Acer bundle a MiniDP to D-Sub cable

    Power Adapter

    Look nice and small

I really like the new APU logo style , too bad we don't have Richland available in Hong Kong yet

This is the inside of it

Disassemble it require mini Philips head screw driver but DO NOT USE Brute Force to "RIP" open, as you may damage the board as it lay behind the Keyboard.

    and this is the battery

I didn't notice until I leave the notebook install Windows update
    The keyboard have backlight

It does look good and attractive

The driver can install into Windows 7 64bit but only display "normally" when unplugged from AC Adapter
when I plugged in it will show black screen

Try adjusting the power savings features & screen brightness when running on battery power. Hopefully manually setting this option will get the screen working alright.

I just notice the LCD (Touch screen) is not TN panel.. It looks like a cheap IPS

The driver problem seems "solved" after complete all Windows Update to Win7 SP1
I uninstall all the Catalyst Driver , and go AMD website to grab Driver for Embedded system
(which released on 6/6/2013, I guess it's the latest one other than 13.6Beta)

I unchecked the HDMI Driver and it seems work fine even I plugged in

EDIT : It only work when I set my Windows 7 Power Management Profile to
"Battery Saving" when plugged in, if I select other profile when plugged in
the LCD will show blank screen again

So it's stuck at 1.0ghz for all test ?

Ok so I my phenom II x6 set to 1.0ghz and affinity set to one core here. My superPI was only 1 minute and 19.3 seconds.

Why does it show 1 thread it's a quad core ?

    - Yes , it stuck at 1GHz all time (The Power Profile in Windows 7 does not work properly with the setup)
    - It's a Quad Core, the task manager shows 4 logical processor , CPU-Z can't recognize the CPU properly
    same goes to GPU-Z
