Just curious guys cause I'm not sure if this is wrong or not but is the voltage reading wrong here? 0.880 Vcore? Until I get a better TIM I'm not going any higher. Prime is running in the background.

I do not know because I cheated and tested it out the OC Genie on the board. The board set the values. Until I have a grasp on what I am doing and learn the new BIOS I won't be changing anything. The last system I overclocked was socket 775. So I have a bit catching up to do. IIRC I'm running 1.64.3 cpu-z.

Ok here is after shot. CPU has been delidded Liquid pro on cores and phobya HeGrease on ihs. So looks like 20-22c drop in temp.

If anyone is looking for linx that will work with haswell in win7 use 10.3.7 found here - http://www.mediafire.com/?3aa7yz5nxfkb97z. 11.0.1 will work with haswell on win8 not win7.

What a huge temperature improvement bro. Well done on delidding.
My target is 5.0GHz HT but now the current chip needs 1.55v+ with just 2 cores so will skip delidding this chip but will wait for a better 4770K which has lower VID ~ 0.9xxv

Yeah cpu never saw windows at stock speed. First boot to windows was 4.5ghz at 1.2v llc extreme needed 1.21 to be stable. Tried for 4.6ghz but temp was hitting low 90's and not stable and was up to 1.275v.

Thx. I just think my 4670k was just a dude of a cpu. Even after delidding it still ran hot and only had temp drop of 10-15 closer to 10-12c it just sucked.

    L314A986

My best chip out of 5 tested , I hope it does not have low cold bug or cbb , will test on cascade at -115c in a few minutes.

i5-4670K Tested on Maximus VI Extreme using Swiftech H220 AIO water cooler.

100% Stable PI 32M 2 runs back to back ( No waza , no tweaks *nothing just boot and run for stability ) at:

    4.6Ghz 1.17volts v.core

    4.8Ghz 1.25volts v.core

5.0Ghz 1.37volts v.core and can run ,boot into windows at 1.32 volts 5.0Ghz but not 100% stable , cross fingers.

I'm thinking of getting haswell and I'm wondering if 4.5Ghz is quite common for it or should I wait a couple of months and see if overclocking headroom will increase?
