Haswell i5 4670K/i7 4770K batch and o/c results

wait for costa rica batches.

Are they always expected to overclock better? Most if not all retailers in where I am at dont really stock a lot of CPU's so its really a luck of the draw if I get a Costa Rica or Malaysia made CPU.

I've been running mostly lower voltage overclocks... "Crunching" at 44x and 45x but decided to try some higher multi today. 50x was still not 32M stable at ~1.35v but I did complete a run at 49x with ~1.3v. I have a 4770k L312, 4800 in windows, but don't benchmark whith it.
I change thermal past to IHS, now is better but not to much ......




The temperatures are not very high, but I can not up more the cpu frecuency, i don't know how. I have msi mpower max. You know some guide?? how to set this bios??

Any information for L312B334 ?

I'm running this batch. Currently testing 1.25v @ 4.6GHz with temps in the 70's. At 1.2v it blue screened. I guess I could probably go higher, but I'm not a huge overclocker. When should I start worrying about temps? I mean, 80c seems high!

Tested 4770K Batch # L316B170

Would not enter windows at 5.0 on water even with 1.51v.core lol , it struggles to make to be 4.8 stable.
Tested later on Cascade @ -115c idle for max Mhz Validation , Very Bad cpu it maxed out at 5.7 running only One core active , and one stick of memory low Mhz , not a single Mhz more out of it lol Hit the wall at 5700. Avoid this Batch like a plague .... Lemon Batch and CPU.

I'm using an Asus Sabertooth Z87 and an H110 for the cooling. Hero does look pretty sweet. I was going to get the Hero, but they didn't have it in stock, so I snagged the Sabertooth instead. pretty much the same board, IMHO.

quick test (not in deep tweaking, so later - I believe - Il get +100 MHz better results..

coldbug: -122C coldboot seems +- few degress the same
max Cinebench R11.5: 5550 MHz 1.725V
max superpi 1M/32M: 5640/5612 MHz 1.75V
IMC: very hard to get around 3060 MHz 12-14-14-1t for superpi 32M, Tridentx with Hynix (but not much good Hynix chips)

August will be the right time for home extreme OC, so updates later :-)
