Of course not. A very high overclocked FX-8350 probably uses 220W+...

If they really release a 5ghz cpu on 32 nm... what's intel's BS excuse for not releasing Haswell at 5 ghz on 22 nm??

Their excuse? They don't need to.

Well, considering streamroller has so much huge changes, you can treat these ultra-high-clock SKUs as commemorative series of BD/PD.

Im interesting if this CPU (if is it true) will be better than my 5 GHz FX-8350...Or what will be next OC potential..5200 MHz maybe after OC?

AMD would get bashed so hard for 220W TDP let alone the 125w TDP now.

it would be cool if true, but not at ~$700...they would get bashed so hard again

What we can hope? A Processor that is just a factory overclock, being at the very topmost limit of what the architecture and process node allows it to, that is expensive, ridiculous power hungry, and still far away from the performance crown? That is a bad product that just wants to say "me too", equivalent to AMD 4x4 platform (That I doubt anyone remembers anymore, for obvious reasons).

You do realize if this is true these chips will have been binned to do this right? This likely means there would be some very nice specimens on air and LN2 or LHe

As I said before, this is likely false though.

8.6 I got...Not bad, but the Cinebench is not the best for FX-8350. I heard, there are some optimalization in new Cinema for FX CPUs . If is it true, this FX-9000 will be good, because there is not much really stable FX-8350 at 5 GHz with lowend watter cooling or highedn air (maybe 20% max.).

There is average performance in real apliacations of modern CPUs.

btw C22, OK, but 4800 MHz Haswell is imposible in retail..I have retail and Im happy for 4550 MHz, no more. ES are better on OC and maybe u know it

I don't know my retail haswell seems pretty good on volts, 1.275v 32M 5Ghz 4c 8t at 10c, so I am thinking it is going to be another binning game.

From history book: K6-II 550 MHz, Pentium 3 Coppermine 1133 MHz. These are the worst factory overclocks I recall, and is what you could expect from a part like this.

As far that I'm aware, the parts that do well with sub-zero cooling are the high leakage ones. If AMD were intending to get that Vishera running on air, chances are that you will get the very best low leakage parts, that will also be mediocre for exotic cooling.

    well a FX-8350 at 5ghz would smack the i7-4770k in cinebench 11.5

but you would need a nuclear power plant to power the thing

Next time you could check that, before you even open your mouth

Even stock 4770k gets 8.14 in that benchmark.
