Someone was drunk during kits sorting, probably some sampling kits gone in the wild Joking aside, this is the best retail Samsung i ever saw, also the best Gskill samsung ram noticed.Waiting for proper runs

Nice Sam,does the msi board train memory quite well under ln2?
Notice rtls 37-38,will it train rtls 36-37,nice result

37-38 is the lowest I could get the MSI board to train, anything lower set in directly or via RTL compensations would not POST.
When my board was shiny and new, getting PSC to run 1333 8-12-8 on air was relatively easy (once you know the ODT trick) but on my recent re-tests I couldn't get it to work no matter what. So it's hard for me to objectively judge what MSI boards are like on LN2 as my particular sample (in a messed up state) was relatively difficult to operate. For example, I needed around 0.10V more than I would on M6I/M7G and certain timing combinations that I know the kit can easily do wouldn't even POST (like tWRWR=4, had to run 5).
Yep I understand, your sample doesn't do what it use to do on air so makes you think ln2 results may have been better with a new sample
Yeah normally I like to have two motherboards so I can always compare if any problems as you know cold memory benching can be demanding on the motherboard

Did some messing around at 5GHz with PSC subzero
GIGABYTE Z97X-SOC FORCE X04 bios
Patriot 2500 PSC
4770K
EK copper heatspreaders and KP Venom on top
trick on GIGABYTE is to get the bios profile right to start with as well as correct temps on CPU and memory
i have a 2400 7-10-7 profile i start with and then 2600 6-10-7 and then move onto tighter timings and higher speeds.
had issues with wazza, need to get my usual Pi benching OS in shape and give this another shot again

Asrock fluctuating bclk by 0.2 is not a surprize... good job dinos on patriot rams...
Does is fluctuate under superpi load?
Looking good Dino,we have a refresh thread for Z97
Z97 subs go here

Bit of a thread Necro, as is usual for me, but I think I'll be posting some results here in not too long. Have some PSC and BDBG on hand, and some BBSE on the way.

No waza for this run, will be added soon . This IMC is really testing my patience, Haswell seems quite a bit more tedious than newer generations.

Massive improvement, though I still need to add waza to my runs. This kit is so much easier to handle than anything else I've tested so far. 2666C8 here we come!
