ATX 690 low 3d marks :<

guys see my sig for specs, but i just put a 690 into my rig ran some benches and was not impressed with the results...


3dmark 11 scored 13000 with 17k graphics score

3dmark fire scene (the hard test)just over 7000 marks (my 6900's get around 6400 not impresssed with that)

vantage scores around 31000 with 36000 graphics mark (my 6900s can get 33000 graphics marks)

unigene valley test scored 2789 marks but i have seen a post where someone got a new 780 and scored over 3000 marks

so whats going on here? :<

looking around on this forum these are seriously low scores even for a stock 690..
so any idea why?

What is your physics and combined score? Also what clock is your CPU running at? Benches and multiple gpus are very CPU limited. 3DM11 performance mode is more CPU than anything.

They get 17K here for gpu. The total is higher because of the CPU(s) used. Your gpu score in 3dm11 p looks normal. I'd say your fine. If you bought it to game and not to be a benchmark jockey your fine otherwise intel is king.

hi thanks for your input i was away for a few days and couldnt post back til now but apprecaite you comments.

i was actually thinking the same thing. so now im back gona install some games and see how it goes
