Mine doesn't default to 640x480? That doesn't seem right... and that's like 90% cpu anyways.

My post had both P and E 3D11 presets as well. Don't get why more people don't use extreme. 720p is so 2001

    ooh 780 fun!

seems like the highest mem i saw in this thread is 1830mhz, shouldnt the 780 be a better mem clocker than titan? cause of 3gb vs 6gb. if it can go 100mhz more in memory than titan it might catch up to it

Those results are really tempting, i was thinking of buying two 780s, but i think i will keep my 670s since i can max all the games at 1600.

I run a surround 5760x1080 on this single 780 and i really dont feel the need of a second one. I had a 670 before and the 2gb VRAM was to most limiting factor for BF3, with ULTRA settings and 2xMSAA you end up using more than 2gb, 2.2gb to put it right.

Accordingly i stay GTX680, difference 680 vs. 780 is small. Worth it to change cards

I've been having a Crysis marathon here and found something interesting stability wise. I've been at +125 offset since I've had these 780s and so far haven't' had any driver crashes or BSODs. I got through both Crysis, Warhead and Crysis 2 without issue. Crysis 3 on the other hand... 5 or 10 minutes, boom, BSOD. Take the cards back to stock and I am able to play sans issue. Oddly I can loop maxed out Heaven and 3DM11 for hours. With my fan profile they've never broke 70C either and at that Crysis 1 seems to generate higher heat load than 3. And to add fuel to the "Can it Run Crysis" meme, even SLI 780s crap then bed in the later levels, I saw single digit frame rates (2560x1440 ; Extreme; 4xAA/16xAF) during the final boss battle when there were multiple Ceph firing their ice beams at you haha... That carrier is quite the light show!

That said, Crysis 3 would be my recommended stability test so far after playing dozens of games released in the last 2 years. ( unless you run distributed computing, in when case that probably takes the cake )

not sure if i will mount the h70 on it today but thats first
then i have to bust off a resister and bridge a pad
power sence has to be done also then i will hang a vr for gpuv
bios might be issue hopefully the pl mods will take care of it
i might install gputweak to see if it will allow more voltage then ab.

Yuppers its same as 680 dcii mod wise
    h70's on too
nasy throttle atm since i forgot to do power sence mod but i'll be back

    Running into ovp/ocp 1.40v+
Runs ok for core temps vrm are good too

    BF3 is ok to about 1267 1.31v
Driver crashing is sucky and is pmo but all ok sofar
it should go decent baby clocks of 1340ish just dice at low volts of ovp but i test alittle bit more with it later.

Using a bios i found for power limit, its ok for that

I got my ASUS GTX 780 DCII OC a couple of days ago, and so far it seems to be a decent chip. Currently running it at boost 1267 @ 1.150V (+220MHz) stable. The memory however doesn't like overclocking at all, even with the core at stock. I can push it to about 1625MHz (6500) stable. I know that plenty of people consider the ASIC value in GPU-Z to be bogus, but I included it anyway.

Still haven't decided whether I should try a modded BIOS or not, I am still running on air.

That looks great for a stock card,I would just try low volts and cool temps on that one

As for the bios its really not bad the stock one,if you are going no further then a o/c once in a while i would see no reason too.

IF you want more clocks you will need one for pt

I am happy with it, the clocks are good and temps are low.

However, there's always that little question in the back of the head "but how far can I push it under these conditions, just because I want to find out?", heh.

Forgive my ignorance, but what do you mean by pt?
Got any detailed suggestions regarding the BIOS? TI?

I just got my 780s and i am a little lost on the whole vbios and llc thing. I have 37 bios, zotac 780s. What i did was try out the llc tweak and the values returnd 00 meaning its now enabled. But i am still at 1.200v max. I am not sure what to do next to verify if its working and i am interested in getting a higher usable voltage. Can anyone guide me how??
