    i'm a bit curious how this would perform with a single fan in the middle, which if i'm understanding correctly, would deal with the possible mem slot issue?

    I was running my 2500K with just the centre fan for a while at 4.4GHz . The temps were only a 3 degrees higher than they were with both stock fans.
