How does this game compare to 2033. It doesn't unlock here till Thursday. I'm interested to see how it runs on dual 680's as that's what I use.

60 fps average on the benchmark, all maxed out, but without SSAA. In game you get more fps. And this with 314.22 drivers. With 320.14 should be a bit better. I'll try latter.

That screen looks fantastic, but it doesn't really show any technical improvements vs Metro 2033. I want me Stalker 2.

Are those screens DX11? For some reason to me they look a lot like DX9c. Some screens from the same area taken from DX9c, DX10 and DX11 would really help show any technical differences

Not blowing me away I must admit but then again I've always been one of those people that felt that slapping a higher res on a grey cement wall doesn't make it look that much better. Would be curious to see all that tech on something less greyish-brown.

I'm a (true, none of that Skyrim official "HD" sh|t) HD whore, so I love the texture resolutions By and large if you want to make a cement wall look any good you need to also have excellent normal maps and parallax mapping, both of which LL do have, but you can still notice those hard edges of pillars and such due to engine limits

    Ket i really hate Skyrim...

But seems this metro tough i agree with you can be more of the same goes very smooth after first screens, at first FPS go to 44 sometimes but i played mostly 3 hours and 60 steady and very smooth gameplay

i just activated the particles but i dont see notha...

I like Skyrim, but the only textures worth a damn for it are the HD2K textures, the Bethesda "HD" textures aren't HD at all, they are just the same textures minus the format conversion so theres no compression artefacts. Metro LL does interest me though, is it more "top world" than the tunnels of Metro 2033? I got really sick of those damn tunnels.

Is it not scaling well? I noticed the first pic was 40/40/40%.

Is it like that across the game?

nope some parts it takes 55% but cards at 1202 they should boost on hard parts and nope, for ex there's a part that i see 44fps on a stairs and i lool the cards and its not using them at full so its clearly aint optimized well

As harsh as that sounds, its probably right. Theres a truly dark story that could of been narrated for Metro, but nope.. all pretty generic apocalyptic stuff.

Well that's the way these fancy high end graphics FPS games usually turn out, it's a glorified tech demo more than anything.

I can't fault Metro LL for its graphics, its one of very few games that can show how superior a PC really is to this gen of consoles or next but things are getting to the stage of devs thinking pretty graphics make up for a game thats crap in every other area, not true.
