    <name>app</name>

As I add Projects to my crunching efforts, I've been having problems finding the Project <app> names. So I figured I'd start a thread for this information. If you know of an <app> name that is not listed, please feel free to post it here. Make it easier for the next guy.

FWIW you don't need to use and an app_config to run multiple Einstein@Home tasks. You can go to your account>Einstein@Home preferences>Edit Einstein@Home preferences and change GPU utilization factor of BRP apps by selecting 1 for 1 tasks, 0.50 for 2 tasks etc. etc. 2 tasks pretty much max out my 7970 so would I advise that you not try to run more than 2. I tried 3 but was not able to get it to work.

All of my 7770s run at 0.2C + 0.2ATI. I'm glad I didn't buy 7970s. I currently have 10 GPUs. The point of this thread is to provide the <name> used by Projects. If you chose to configuration your computers via your Account, that is your choice, but where is the harm in supplying the project <name> for those who chose to use the app_config.xml file?

the easy way to do this is look at your client_state.xml file (after making a copy) and then search for <app> inside of it ... you will find the app name for all projects you are running. It's also a great place to find the "file" info you need to build an app_info file in case you need to.

If you are doing app_config.xml, you are not doing app_info.xml.

    Thanks Mumak for the input.

you can do both, and in some cases you might want to do an app_info ... and just so you know the app name found in clent_state.xml works for both.

No harm. Just wanted to make it known that you don't need an app_config to run multiple E@H tasks.

@Gandalf: Tip: If you are logged in to XS, you can edit your posts. Suggest adding info re more app-names to your first post. Saves interested people having to trawl through the whole thread to find them ...

PS: I find it a PITA that the inactivity timeout period on this forum is so short ... I keep getting logged out when composing anything other thatn a very short post.

I find it interesting how only Mumak has bothered to contribute.
