Desktop Geforce 7 comes by Computex

We have seen people writing about the upcoming launch of Geforce 7-series desktop products, claiming that they won?t appear before CES 2014, but we got some information that the launch takes place by Computex 2013, in just a few months.

We don?t have a fix date but Nvidia has talked to some of its partners assuring them that they will have something new and hot to see as of May 2013. Computex 2013 starts in late May but Nvidia might launch its new graphics card generation a bit earlier.

They do want to address AMD?s aggressive bundle push and try to offer a more competitive product. Bear in mind that desktop sales still play an important role in Nvidia's financial statement. We don?t know much about the performance expectation but we do know that it is faster than what is out today.

At 28nm you cannot expect miracles, but next year Nvidia does have plans to move to 20nm graphics and put even more transistors on their graphics dies. Nvidia also wants to put pressure on new console sales, as now more than ever Nvidia wants to tell the world that PC gaming is the future.

Could be low end cards, who knows... Take it as you will.

I don't think they will come out with something faster than the Titan card before Maxwell, unless AMD would force them to do so. Apart from the clockspeed, they have probably gotten practically everything out of this generation of GPU.

I don't think they will come out with something faster than the Titan card before Maxwell, unless AMD would force them to do so. Apart from the clockspeed, they have probably gotten practically everything out of this generation of GPU.

They could probably pull a 15 SMX variant, but I think that would go into the Tesla area before GeForce (if it comes to GeForce at all).

First and foremost, few weeks back, several websites leaked the news about a part called GeForce GTX Titan LE, a board based on cut down GK110 GPU silicon. The leak was right, since this will actually be a consumer version of Tesla K20C, the 2496-core part with 5GB of GDDR5 memory. The name will not be the GTX Titan LE, though. Meet the GeForce GTX 780 5GB. Just as the GTX Titan was a consumer version of the K20X (2688-core part, 6GB GDDR5 memory), K20A/C is getting a consumer version as well. The performance is about 30% faster than a single GTX 680. You can expect this board to launch (hard launch, availability from Day 0) in the final days of May, as the Computex train starts to heat up. Pricing unknown, but you should prices anywhere between $499 and $599.

Second board will be the GeForce GTX 770. This is actually based off a GK104-425 die e.g. nothing more than a higher clocked GTX 680. Estimated performance is 20-25% better than GTX 670, on pair with the regular GTX 680. This is still a 256-bit interface part, with 4GB GDDR5 memory to be more prominently featured than a 2GB one. Nvidia's product stack calls for 6GB Titan, 5GB GTX 780, 4GB GTX 770 and 2GB GTX 760 Ti. Launch is allegedly scheduled for mid-May, as a precursor to the GTX 780.

Which brings us to the third product, the GeForce GTX 760 Titanium. GTX 760 Ti, sorry. This part is based on the same die as GTX 670; GK104-225. The board comes with 2GB GDDR5 memory and will do everything to put pressure on AMD's HD 7800 and 8800 line of OEM cards. Performance is targeting 20-23% increase from the standard GTX 660 Ti, and this is the part that will launch at the 2013 Computex Taipei trade show.

Naturally, there's a possibility that Nvidia will launch all three parts together and claim the best product stack for gamers out there.

Until Maxwell (GMxxx) arrives in 2014, do not expect new silicon from Nvidia. Come to think, AMD is also holding back its Volcanic Islands (VI) for the tail end of 2013 or in 2014. Next-gen processes cannot come soon enough for these companies... and yes, FinFET transistor on a 10-figure transistor count is a big challenge."

we should not have a new gen, it should be a face lift. TSMC will not have a better process until mid 2014.

Maybe once the 4K monitors drop, we'll get some super awesome powerful gpu's.

i was thinking that the next gen consoles should offer a base level that would let devs add enhancements to destroy the current cards, but adding in 4k to the mix could lead to pain for this gen.

Both seem unlikely. GTX 780 Ultra = Titan. GTX 790 would be too large, complex and expensive to bother with.

same thoughts here, as the rumors about gtx titan ultra. however about gtx 790 it could only happen if amd released Radeon 8990

they dont really need a dual gpu card for the 90, just faster and comes out latter. but if they did they could do a 2x full gk114 and it should be quicker than a full titan.

the 114 and 110 should be the same chips as the 104 and 100, but fixed for the process. like the amd 4870 to 4890 or the NV 280-285

Let see, Kepler, Titan = DX 11 ( .1 ) . Why the TitanLE aka GK110 will be DX12 ? When Maxwell should be here in early Q2 2014. Untill MS have decided to release DX12 current 2014.
