Any idea what comes in these?

    F3-1600CL8D-8GBFLS

2x4GB not sure of serial will report when they get here, though I have seen 0640 on a similar kit.

So, do we start referring to these ICs as Samsung "Psych0s"?

    Sorry...just couldn't help myself.

These are B-Samsung, on the HYH9, theoratically this means that the are 1333c9 low voltage ICs, so bin should be for 1,35v. It is late here, but hope still got the point right . Wouldn?t expect these do to 2400 c9 or be great clockers though, B sams are usually mediocre oc ics

For 8GB Dimms, wasn't expecting much. They are for daily use, hoping I can get all 32GB @ 2133 or higher cas 10 stable with 1.5-1.55v.

    EDIT:
Cant fit the sticks under my NH-D14, so with just one set installed, 2600Mhz 13-14-14-36 with 1.6v wouldn't post (don't know if my IMC would anyway), but 2400Mhz 10-12-12-28 seems stable with 1.6v. Havent tried anything else yet.

It's normal that 4Gbit revision B Samsungs don't POST at 1300MHz, so most likely your IMC is not to blame.

Well, I seem to have found an answer in this old thread at ocz forums for my OCZ3P1600LVAM4GK kit. Tony pointed the ICs on LVA and LVAM as Micron, I'd presume D9KPT.
LVAs seem to have changed ICs later, but my LVAMs were bought earlier in June 09'.
On a side note, I have in my hands a true BBSE (F3-12800CL8D-4GBRM 0660, with visible stripes) ripjaws 1600 8-8-8-24 1.65V kit to debug some crashes I'm having with the OCZs, that seem to require a bit more voltage on their current MB.

0660 with stripes is not necessarily BBSE. BDSE and BFSE can do 1600C8 specs as well.

They seem to pass >200% memtest pro at 1600 7-7-7-24 1T 1.65V, and 1333 6-6-6-24 1T 1.65V on my old Deneb C2 (stock cpu_nb). Not bad, even if not BBSE. On the other hand, 1600 6-6-6-24 1T 1.65V doesn't even POST.

    No POST at 1600 6-7-6, 6-7-7 or 6-8-6 1.65V. Probably ain't BBSE.
Edit: 1.70V enables POST at 1600 6-7-6 (craps memtest pro immediately) and 6-7-7 (throws a few errors). 1600 6-6-6 1.70V fails POST.

    G.Skill Ripjaws X F3-17000CL9D-4GBXL PSC X-Series:

Pretty weak sticks. They will boot tRCD11 but I can't get them stable no matter the volts (tried up to 1.95). Cas8 also a no go at 2400MHz.

Hoping someone can help with this mystery. Bought a kit of ADATA 2x2GB DDR3-2000 9-9-9 off eBay, expecting BBSE. None of the BBSE profiles were working on the Maximus VI, so I looked under the hood. This is what I found:

Now I know of the 4Gbit BBBG, but 1Gbit ones? Does anyone know anything about them?

I've never seen 1Gbit BBBG before. Logic says that it should be superior to BBSE, like B(D/F)BG were to B(D/F)SE. Have you tried any PSC profiles with it?

@Gen-An: That very interesting, thanks for posting. Can you take a bigger pic of the ICs, comparable to the one in the first post?

It's weird that BBSE profiles didn't work though, as TaPaKaH said they should be superior to BBSE and thus be able to run the same settings as BBSE.

    Thanks!
Now Sam can add an IC pic to the first post.
Manufacturing date of 0941 fits perfectly to BBSE. Did you do some more tests?

PS: Sam, for PSC there is a third subversion, A3G-U.

Here are some pics I found on pconline.com, I can supply a pic of my own kit ( Kingston values ) when I'm at my parent's house ( probably around Christmas ).

I'm sure that some is, but if they are anything like GSkill (and others), there will probably be some samples using 4Gbit Samsung, as well as Micron. Best if you can actually see the modules before buying, such as at a retail store, to confirm the kit has MFR, as opposed to ordering online and hoping you get MFR.

Even then, I suspect that Corsair has binned their chips pretty good so while you may still be able to hit somewhere in the range of 1866-2133 with the value ram, I can't help but wonder how many of them will hit 2400 and beyond.

It seems that Samsung have introduced a new 4Gbit IC - revision Q.
    Part numbers M378B5173QH0 / M378B1G73QH0 for 4Gb/8Gb OEM sticks.
Has anyone heard anything about them?

Interesting news. Hopefully they will give Hynix MFR some competition.
