Is this for real, or some kind of pricing glitch...there couldn't possibly be more than one person at the same time without a clue as to what a pair of GSkill ram sells for, could there?

...or maybe listings like this are nothing but a money laundering front.

    Why not?
Judging by the sale threads in the last couple of months, there is a whole army of people who are willing to ask/pay ridicilous triple-digit prices for PSC that I would personally classify as bad*.

*not "bad compared to my best kits" but "bad, period".

Yep, prices for PSC have been rising for a while, even for PSC on Kingston values the price has increased.

On another note, have you seen any D9KPT lately? I only have one stick and want at least one more stick.

I have seen these on OEM Micron modules quite a few times last couple of months. You also have a good chance of finding those on ver3.x Corsair modules that I don't bother listing in this thread.

Yeah, I know they can be found on OEM Micron, but I'd prefer a binned kit. I'll look after the Corsair modules, thanks!
If you come across a Crucial Ballistix kit with D9KPT, let me know, I'd like those the most.

I'm sure that this has come up before and I've missed it, but what is the difference between a Corsair PSC based module marked "ver7.1" and one marked "ver7.1A"?

Good question. I suspect there is a lot more to Corsair's version numbers than we realize. For instance, I have a kit of Dominator 1600C9 that are Ver2.2 that aren't BBSE.

Afaik 2.2 can be BBSE but also any other Elpida 1Gb IC.

My personal experience suggests that 2.1 should be Elpida BAxx, 2.2 is BBxx, 2.3 is BDxx and 2.4 is BFxx. So far I haven't really seen any counterexamples, the kit Shiranui Gen-An had might have been, say, BBBG.
