Nah, man, it was already >40? six hours before the end.

I can't afford to ruin prices anywhere.

TaP - What RAM would you recommend (2GB, DDR2) for running on 775 platform? FSB should be around 550 give or take & preferably CL5...

With benching in mind there's no doubt you'll have to look for 1GB D9GMH modules.
If you're talking about 2GB modules for daily use: early 6400 Ballistix will easily run up to ~570 5-5-5 with 2.0V, otherwise you'd have to go for stuff rated no less than 533 5-5-5.

1GB D9GMH modules, what sort of kit's are we talking here?

Early 6400 Ballistix, what's the identifier to tell if early or later?

I'll probably source a kit of each as right now i'm not sure if i'll be better with 2x1gb or single stick of 2gb.

I seem to remember Ballistix DDR2 that had serial/part numbers ending in -16FD being the ones to look for.

Dozens if not hundreds of different models.
Will take too long to describe and doesn't really belong in this thread. You can use RAM-list as a tentative reference: http://ramlist.i4memory.com/ddr2/

2GB modules with PN ending with -16FE5 used D9JKH. Later they've switched to something else, which I am not sure will do 550+ CL5.

Thanks for sharing! K as fourth symbol means Kingston/relabeled chip, right?

Maybe this should be put into a more popular spot than post #518 of this thread...

Yeh. I had heard there was a "code" for Kingston, but could never find it.
