    BLCK/PCIE overclock problem

I'm trying to improve my gpu w/u times by overclocking the pcie. The strange part is my w/u times are going up? I'm new to Intel overclocking

I'm running a X79 3820. When I use the preset cpu o/c setting beyond 4.2ghz the blck/pcie will go up. Is there a way this could have a negative impact on my 7950 gpu?

Raising the PCIe bus frequency can result in some very undesirable consequences.

I run PCIe at 103 on my X58 rigs without any issue.
What undesirable consequences are you referring to?

I just upgraded my rig with a custom water loop . Now crunching @ 4.8ghz 60c. For now I'm using the ASRock easy o/c and my PCIe is at 125mhz lol.

If some SATA ports are tied to the SB, raising the PCIe bus speed can result in corrupted data.
