If your 920 is a good clocker I would say no, unless you can get those other CPU's dirt cheap and just want to play around with them.

The 975 I had ran way to hot for any good OC's tbh, don't know about the 950 tbh.

i agree but i want to go 6 cores i am thinking of switching to AMD a 1100t and crosshair formula 5 as the 980x is just way too expensive

920 is a good overclocker, unless someone is handing them over for free I wouldn't. I've recently upgraded to a FX8350 from a 920 and I'm very happy with it.
    AMD FX 8350 @ 4.4Ghz
    Corsair H60
    Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+
    8GB Mushkin Blackline @ 1800Mhz
    Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 3GB
    Crucial C300 SSD - Bootdrive
    2 x 640GB Samsung - 1.2TB RAID 0
    800GB Western Digital Green SATAII
    Corsair TX 750

It depends on your budget, I chose the Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3, for 137 Dollars and two full spec x16 PCIe it was a nice deal.
