I just edged back first place with a 6621 in '03
    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=2021885

I know it's not that much of an accomplisment to announce, but it had been a few months since I had benched and needed to find an extra 100 pts in my system to retake 1st.

Not too bad for an ambient temp watercooled 1700+ with a little TEC on the gpu, lol.

Yeah, sorry bud, but it looks like you take third, just behind Hobocrow.

Didn't see Overklokker AFAIK as he isn't using a WHQL Futuremark approved driver. Come to find out I didn't either, lol. I just installed it and assumed it was and posted this thread before I even noticed. Hobo, mind sending me a link of the driver you used.

BTW, Hobo if you ever get some good gpu cooling, you should get up to 7k. I thought you'd appreciate getting beat by 2 pts, lol. Da** you for holding an ace up your sleeve - a 6627, that is hilarious. I'm gettin your driver and finding another 7 pts in this system.

Anyhow trying to get some final benches in before I go dual evap and make the next technology jump.

BMorin..... I used the patched ati2mtag.sys file from the same site that you used to softmod your 9500np...iirc, I downl'd the cat 3.10 drvrs from FM.
I would love to put my M1 on this GPU , but i glued the HSF on with ASepoxy and I glued it "real good"! I've been trying to get it off for months now!

btw, just do some low lvl score uploads and test it until you get it FM approved...then, go get 7+ more points!

I had wondered because I thought you used phase change on your 9800xt. Have you tried throwing it in the freezer then trying to snap it off? You'd hate to kill a good card by getting too aggressive with it. You got a great clock on air, I think you have a cherry core there if you get that sucker off. I've done something similar before with Artic Alumina, that stuff is strong.

I didn't download the patched file, I just downloaded the whole driver with it already included from their site. I didn't know it would make a difference one way or the other.

I don't get what you mean by running the benchmark a few times to get FM approved. Don't I have to get a particular driver to get FM approved? Sorry, but like I said, I haven't benched since summer and they changed things with '03.

What I meant by that was .... this is a no stress way to test the uploaded result and actually see how FM "sees" your installed drvr in your uploaded result.
You might have a simple switch disabled or you might need a different "approved" drvr. GL

yeah fm approved has nothing to do with how many runs u do, just which driver ur using.
