New QDCs now by Bitspower too.

When i was browsing LC shops for new additions, noticed these.
There was long time dominance in QDCs area by Koolance now diversified not just by new Swiftech's QDCs but also by BP. To me these looks very similar to Koolance's, with few differences - they include (yet) only outer G1/4 threaded ones boltable into components, are smooth not rugged on outside, have different finish types (Black Sparkle, Silver Shining and painted classic Matte Black).

I just saw these tonight. While I like the looks, I agree that they seem to work like Koolance older QD's. The Swiftech QD's use the same locking mechanism too, although I like the fact that they have a G 1/4" fitting so you can swap out ends for whatever tubing you need that week. Anyways, I guess if it works, why not, right? At least Koolance came out with some newer designed ones that seem to work better in my opinion, but they are pricey.

Edit: BP is also very, very proud of their QD's, anywhere from $15 a piece to $24 a piece. Seriously?

After using the newer Koolance ones I am no sure I could use the Bitpower ones. Although I do like how they come in black.

IIRC i saw Tim posting that koolance had a choice to paint as well. Decided not to, as coating unsufficiently durable by their standarts.

I think it was due to tolerance concerns too and that the paint was too thick. Interesting though they do look almost identical to the previous Koolance QDCs but with a smoothed finish. I have to say I much prefer the new locking mechanism on the QDC3/4 series than the VL3(N)/VL4(N) series. Maybe I should ask for some of these to compare in addition.
