Question, if I bought an ASUS GTX680 DIRECTCU 4GB, and an ASUS GTX680 DIRECTCU 2GB to SLI them - would that make sense/work?

Cause in sli only the ram of the main card is used...so it would be cheaper to get a card with 2gb as secondary.

I'm not sure how that would work, but I doubt it'll still use 4gb, you need to mirror the data in both cards vram...so to get 4gb usable you'd need 8gb between both (?)

You'd see that setup more often if it was doable, don't you think? I've NEVER seen a guy run sli 680s with dissimilar ram size.

Damn the more I read the more undecided I get....I thought to go for the Gigabyte HD7950 3GB...but then I read that it has latency issues and the 660Ti actually delivers better performance!!AAARGH!
I was thinking of getting 2xHD7950 as they are cheap and it seems the power they draw should be handled ok by my PSU....then I ready about the latency issue....any opinions?
