My bedroom server/htpc's NIC died so I had to replace the board and chip (FM1) with a hold over until Richland comes out...

There's a particular gadget, "Simple Date" that I was very fond of and I'd like to re-install it on the machine but I'm having problems.
I managed to find the app but can't figure out how to get it to show up in the gadget list from the desktop, here's the link:
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Windows...unctions.shtml

Extracting the zip results in a folder with all the necessary files but no setup option to put it in the gadgets menu...
I tried extracting it to "C:Program Files (x86)/Windows Sidebar/Gadgets" but it's still not available in the menu.

Since MS has given up on these for Win7 does anyone have any clue how to get this to work?
Logic tells me it shouldn't be that hard, but reality seems to be a different story.

Thanks,
Dave
