    What happened to Skinnee Labs?

Skinnee Labs is one of my favorite 'lab sites' to check out waterblock/TIM roundups and things of that nature, however the site has not been updated in some time. Does anyone know what happened to it? Did Skinnee move to a different site or join up with other reviewers?

Don't know, Skinnee vanished and Vapor too. Suspect the TIM goop drove Vapor over the edge? That was a heck of a lot of work doing the same thing over and over and OVER.

Ah, yes, Vapor as well. Two of my favorites here at XS along with you, Martin.

Maybe vapor inhaled too many... vapors *rimshot*

I've wondered about them too, actually. Along with several others who just seemed to up and disappear.

I recall that too, I tried to find where I read it but couldn't.

I shipped him something a long time ago and he doesn't live far away...I could go stalk him in the spirit of XS! :p

Imho returning to testing business with all involving tedious/repetitious/hard work is only up to tester own decision/mood. If they wish so, they will, if not - noone will be able to make it so (unless making it paid job). Bugging/forcing from community side imho can only do worse to actually return them to that work done for free fueled with just enthusiasm and harden decision to deal with real life only. Road to hell is paved with good intentions , so my guess it's better to just wait this out until they themselves choose one way or another. They surely know how useful their testing work in community was even without actively reminding that.

I have no life when it's cold outside, that's when testing fills the gap. If I ever move to Grande Cayman, I will take up raising turtles for a hobby..

He is a highly qualified capable guy. Talking to him 2 years ago in RL he was doing very well and very well compensated for his work, and able to do much of his work from home.

He could be busy. He might be having sex. He might of lost his job.

What matters is what he has done in the past.

For the future, if anyone is willing to buy and send him the stuff you want tested at $40 an hour, I'm sure he could help you out.

He did all the stuff for free, and did it in a phase of his life where he wanted to, he was interested.

Maybe he found an new hobby.

We have his old data, WC is pretty stagnate and dying due to lower TDP and the AIO growth.

Look at it as a golden age of WC and be happy we/he was there. He was a very nice guy and you could tell mentally gifted. Thinking about it, Like Waskowitz on the big bang therory but more normal.

If anyone sees or talks to Skinnee, give him a big thanks for keeping his site open. The testing remains very helpful. I visit there often and routinely refer people there. Someone is paying for the Domain Name and Hosting for the website otherwise it would vanish. Thank you very much for being so thoughtful Skinnee.

Naekuh got out of PC watercooling and started playing with fishy tanks. Some random post about 1.5 years ago or so he made.

Geez. Haven't visited the forum for yonks. Shame to see the age of water cooling - and it seems 'xtreme systems' - coming to an end.

People grow out of this hobby or get burnt out. They also get married and have children and then they have no time.
