Cool [Team.AU] takes out 3DMARK06 global world record

TeamAU boys are having a little meetup in Perth and last night started pretty good with some 3DMARK06 benching we've been putting off a bit as we enjoyed our summer breaks. Time to dust off the rest of the gear and go for broke. 3D01 next

Bit about TeamAU for those that do not know about us from our www.teamau.net site

Team Australia (Team.AU) is made up of a group of members from the Australian & New Zealand overclocking community (majority of members have their original roots are from i4memory.com), who have come together to push the barriers of today’s enthusiast computing technology and to redefine the local and international overclocking scenes. Team Australia as a group is independent from any hwbot teams and are not exclusive to any one manufacturer.

One common theme here is TeamAU+Gigabyte Z77X-UP7+killer 3770K CPU and liquid nitrogen. Z77 platform and Ivy Bridge 3770K are nearing the end of the road and now the results start getting ever so harder to achieve which makes these records even sweeter. This is the time extreme overclockers start pulling out their gems (best hardware they have) and go for broke.

The get together was in Perth, Western Australia, and lot of the members made the long trip to freeze some hardware which included Deanzo, Dinos22, Kayl, JJJC (special guest from OCAU), SniperOZ, Uncle Fester and Youngpro.

Thanks Vince for a nice CPU

Had a great session with the boys and pumped out a cracker 3DMARK01 in the end. There is more in it but this will certainly do nicely

    OK guys

I've updated some more results we got over the weekend. This was a team effort for sure. We could not have done the 3DMARK06 without Jack (JJJC) and his killer chip, Carl (SniperOz) is the master Heaven tweaker, Deanzo is a wealth of experience benching GPUs subzero and it showed with his monster GTX580 benching at 1600+/1250. Amazing card, benching full put and gave us very little trouble for 01 and AM3. James needs no mention....(walks off like Seth MacFarland at Oscars presentations LOL). Me and Jono provided entertainment, snoring and pretty much everything, without us everything would have failed right Jono , gives myself and Jono a massive hi five . Kayl came by and shared some of his infamous home brew

All jokes aside, it was old mates getting together once again and putting down a challenge to get a few monster scores out and nailing them. Yay

you know what kills me deener is when I see you and fester and the boys having so much fun and you guys are on the other side of the earth, I just wanna be there man. there is a fine line between partying and overclocking. You guys party first and if you get a wr out of the session its just icing on the cake. But the focus always seems to be on the party! its how it should be. next time i want all of yall in sunglasses.

i would overclock more if I had a support group like the AU team. If there were some overclockers near new york city that I could get together with and do something remotely close to what the AU team does I would bench every friday night. dumo, jikdoc, and msimax come to mind.

^^^ exactly! We are like 2hrs max driving distance from each other here and we cant get our crap together and you guys are flying around spending tons of cash just to bench. that is why I always say AU team is the best. there are so many levels of radness. the logistics alone is 2nd to none then after all that you guys are still ready to rip and party and overclock. I see the greatest reality TV show in the making. get fosters and outback steakhouse and vegemite and gigabyte to pay for your plane tickets and broadcast across the nation!
