    upgrade from 1GB (default) to 4GB





    How that translates into the real world app will be interesting.

    Cache results is boring....

    With 4GB cache min 12GB testsize. Bigger size is more accurate result. Areca is cacheing everything like crazy This is why I also have 2 Areca 1882ix with 4GB cache

    Worth every penny!

    The Arecas just own with cache...i wonder sometimes if there isnt also some use of the cache for the RAID code...because even with a larger test file they are faasstttteeerr with cache

    It would be very nice to compare the next major model names:

    Adaptec series 8 with 1GB DDR3 1333
    Areca 1883ix-xx with 8GB DDR3 1866
    LSI 93xx (probably with 1GB DDR3 1333)

    Not forget the Rocket Raid ( Remember the old forgotten RR4460 with 4GB cache)
