    what's the point of the circuit board on this unit ?

    what exactly are you referring to? i looked on LL website and cant find a circuit board

    There's a circuit board used to connect all the hard drives in the case and I don't see what advantage it has vs direct connection to each hard drive

    Thanks Movieman for answering.

    Think, the main benefit of hotswap is that being able to switch out the HDDs with ease, even if the computer is on. Whether this aspect is beneficial to you, depends on your usage and what you plan on using your build for. If you will be swapping out drives once in a while, then hotswap bays can save you a lot of time and hassle.
