Cool AMD FX tin box secret thread [post pics!]

I thought this would be a funny thread....

so I received a new FX-8350 today and for some reason I was curious to see if anything was in the top part of the fancy tin box top. To my surprise this was printed on the inside of the lid

so even more curious, I checked my old FX-8120 tin box.

go check your tin boxes and post what you find.

    it was a good laugh.

hey at least their recycling the metal

    another thread about it here:

AMD has always been environmentally friendly with their packaging. These tins aren't made by them however.

The tins are probably made from over runs of sheet metal printed for other customer tins. There is nothing wrong with flipping the sheet and stamping metal lids for AMD from them. It's better than re-cycling perfectly good materials. It's a win-win for everyone involved.

BTW, the AMD FX CPU metal tins are cool and reusable as many folks have already done.

As I suggested, the inside cover graphics is likely just over runs of printed metal for other tins. Once the over runs are gone all of the new lids would be just plated metal.
