    [Case Mod] Project ***STARDUST***

    Hello WorldWideWeb,

Here is my entry to the Lian Li PC-7H Mod. contest.

My goal is to build a Design Workstation with superior hardware & components and the Lian Li PC-7H was a great foundation!

Building off of my years as a Mechanical Designer, specifically designing automotive superchargers systems, this new Workstation will be my new work-horse!

I was inspired by the powder coating color, "Stardust Silver" it is a beautiful silver base with a spectrum of colors that make you think of the stars... So the project name, STARDUST, was born.

I did all the fabrication work on the chassis and stand, Xtreme Coating in Oxnard Ca, will be doing the powder coating, it should look great! You will see detailed photos of the chassis alterations and stand once I have it back, on Wednesday or Thursday?

As a Solid Works designer, I used my abilities to design a few new parts to be made from the stereolithography process; top cover, front filter, rear grill, and 5.25? mounting bracket that will be made @ Rapid Product Solutions in Oxnard Ca, that I will be picking up on Wednesday.

    Enjoy the following...

Unfortunately I did not make the deadline, I caught the cold/flu that has been going around... and the Nvidia 6000 video card I ordered from EBAY, decided to take a bath in coffee, before it was shipped to me

I would like to thank everyone that supported and helped me!

Xtreme Performance Heat Coating www.xtremeperformanceheatcoatings.com for Powder Coating

Rapid Product Solutions Inc. www.rapid-products.com for the SLA's

Analysis of Motion www.analysisofmotion.com - fot the Laser Etch

JT - for your wiring expertise

Daniel - for helping with the Carbon Fiber

Kevin - for the TIG welder

Here is where I ended up @ 11:59pm on the 18th, fortunately I will have one sweet looking/functioning workstation when completed!

I look forward to your modding updates. No need to rush now though. Get over your cold/flu first.
