ASUS Rampage IV Extreme or Gigabyte GA-X79-UD7

So I have a choice of these two boards. I've spent a couple of days searching around, looking at all the boards, reading reviews etc and these two seem to come on top.

I've not built a system since the 5870's were the top of the pack for graphics, so I'm a bit behind on the tech lol.

I'm also getting the 3930k so I can take advantage of PCI 3 when cards become commercial

I've heard the ASUS board has had some nasty bios issues occasionally
and the Gigabyte has some very noisy mosfet issues occasionally (reportedly up to 60db when under load!!)

SO, I'm asking, whether it be personal experience with either of these boards or previous experience with the brands, which one should I choose?

    Thanks

General consensus is that the RIVE is the best X79 board. Isn't the Gigabyte UD7 discontinued?

I thought as much, I was finding it hard to locate the gigabyte board. Cheers
