THQ is being broken up and sold as pieces, the exact thing that the managers wanted to avoid doing.
there creditors have forced THQ via a judge that they have to sell each of their titles off instead as the company as a whole so they can make more ?$?$?$?$

EA is one of the interested parties, along with Warner Bro's

EA will probably try and pick up the biggest name IP. If anything just to own the rights so a competitor doesnt make a game in the genre :/ I saw it suggested on another forum and really liked the idea of if Valve were to buy the rights to Metro 2033.

personally i'd like to see Valve and Creative Assembly end up with most th IP's
Creative Assembly proberly doesn't have the cash to bid against EA
So it really end up in Valves park and i doupt they will buy the games.
Metro i can sort of see but they have Half Life already which is on the same strand pretty much
why would they want Saints Row?
them with Company of Heroes could work.
Warhammer could go with Valve as well i guess,
but how much can Valve really go up against EA?

i am hoping that bethesda/zenimax get metro, warhammer, and stick of truth, and then warner gets the rest other than WWE and that goes to EA so it can die and ea can waste money. i really hope that EA and AV dont get any of the good stuff.

Seriously?! Valve make quality products, not mass produced crap. In any case, i hope Volition and Relic survive this. I'm really confused by the court decision though. First the judge said that the timetable was too strict, then after forcing THQ to be sold in pieces, the auction is set for the 22nd, merely a week later.

On topic: New Company of Heroes is in very advanced stages of development AFAIK, I think it will walk out of this intact.

Like said above, they're probably finishing up there new engine before and will release a new HL with it as a tech demo of what it can do.
