    NVIDIA CES Press Conference Tonight

I just wanted to throw out a reminder that NVIDIA's CES press conference is actually TONIGHT, starting in about 30 minutes.

We have the live stream linked here: http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/news/...t-from-nvidia/

If you would rather go directly to NVIDIA, they should have the live stream here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/ces2013.html

Last year the URL posted on NVIDIA's site didn't work so I'm giving you an alternative just in case.

There are supposed to be some surprises...so it could be interesting.

Nothing at CES ever starts on time. They have to let all the press set up to take pictures of slides.

How do you know there could be some surprises? Concrete information or guesswork? If the latter, I'm going to bed, it's 5am here and I can barely keep my eyes open

i dont think seeing it live will mean anything, and they are supposed to have some mobile stuff, a new graphics arch, and a ue4 demo with an "integrated device" (aka new console or steam box or something) to show off at trade shows this year. i doubt we will see anything but the mobile stuff at ces and some graphics announcement though.

if any1 wanted to know what happened.

    1) gforce experience got way to much time, it already came out so no one cared
    2) they have the tegra4 out this year and it comes with a radio from the company they bought that did radios. it does LTE, GSM, CDMA, HDPDA+ dual band.
    3) they have a tegra based hand held (looks like an archos tab,) that flips up from a controller, it looks like they will also have a set top version (but that was not shown or mentioned.)

As soon as I saw the WiiU I wanted something like it for my PC, Shield + Steam Big Picture looks like an awesome combo.

given the support and kernerels they gave for tegra2 and 3 they are dead to me. i did like the tegra2 with GB with its usb flash so it can never brink from flashing, a nice gpu, good power consumption while gaming, but it took them over a year to put out an ICS kernel, and they never put out a proper GB kernel with low level permissions, or any drivers that were not in machine code.

i could blame them for ROMs, but the chip maker is supposed to have a general kernel ready within 6 weeks of source, it took them a year. they also never put out the drivers that were not in machine code(every other chip maker put them out in plain text,) and they still do not have any kernels for any devices that have low level access for any of their parts to the public.

i would worry about getting any android device with a tegra ATM.

If Verizon sold a Tegra 3 phone, it would be in my pocket. (the One X + is badass)

it is a like a phablet but with a controller, it looks interesting. i am looking forward to getting an android TV box since i want to go with a WMC cable card server but the extenders are about $200 for ones that do live tv, android boxes can do it though with the ceton extender app.
