Olympus e-pm1 opinions?

Looking to get my wife 4/3 camera in the 300-350 range for Christmas. Saw the e-pl1 recommended in another thread. Was wondering how the e-pm1 compared as far as image quality is concerned. The things I like over the e-pl1 is the smaller size and 1080 video. I bought my wife a nice point and shoot and she wore it out in like 4 years. She really likes portability so I thought this model might be a little bit of a better choice. Thanks

I would go with the Sony Nex-C3 for slightly better image quality, but other features need to be taken into consideration too and the E-PM1 is more portable. It doesn't have quite the image quality of the E-PL1 though, maybe just a tick better than the E-PL2.

You would think the E-PL1 would have worse image quality, with NR off it is great but the E-PL2 has little less detail shooting JPEG with NR Off than the E-PL1 (though, with NR on, it's a different story).

In terms of image quality the epm should be better than the epl, if only slightly.
