ASUS RT-N12-B Review - Short and sweet
One device is in the absolute furthest point in the house, through 4 hard walls and ~100ft away.
Another is two rooms away ~60 ft.
The third is in the same room ~18 ft.
All devices can connect with at least 144 Mbps across the house, 216-300 Mbps from most of the house Wireless N, 36-54 Mbps Wireless G across and usually at least Wireless G speeds (24 Mbps+) outside over our whole property. (Almost 1/3 acre ~up to 250-300 feet away from the router.)
My router is wall-mounted, 5.5 ft from the ground on one side of the house. This means that the signal must span the whole house not just half in two ways.
No Windsurfer parabolic crap, no flat-surface antennas, all stock.
Picture explains all:
I don't know why so many people have issues with these.
