Question GTX 980 8GB and Ti models when?

Cant remember how long after the 780 a Ti was released?

Looking to buy a GTX 980 8GB or Ti when they are out, any estimates or guestimates when these might be available?

Already using a GTX 780 3GB just now.

    Thanks

It's looking like there won't be a "Ti" version mainly due to the fact that the 980 is a fully enabled chip as no SMX units have been disabled or cut off hence if they did bring out a 980 Ti they would need to call it something completely different as it would be a completely different core i.e GM200.

As for the 8GB 980's they will probably follow the same pattern as the 780, Coming out only a couple of months before the next generation of GPU's but I have had a lengthy talk with a local retailer *OCUK* and they are in constant talks with vendors and no one currently has plans to make 8GB versions.

No one knows about whatever comes after the 980, however EVGA is under the assumption it can't be too far off (the reason they aren't releasing a Kingpin 980).
