Intel DC S3700 SSD released - anyone care to bench?
Just under 500MB/s read, 370MB/s write, capacities up to 800GB
Anand has a great review on this SSD: http://www.anandtech.com/show/6433/i...0-200gb-review
and a separate look at the secret sauce inside: http://www.anandtech.com/show/6432/t...oller-analyzed
How many of these would it take to saturate an ARC-1882ix?
Anyone planning to bench and break some speed records? :-)
Edit: And right on the heels of Intel, Samsung announces SM1625 800GB with speeds up to 800MB/s (but only over dual-port SAS): http://thessdreview.com/daily-news/l...00gb-capacity/

Paul and I have 800GB versions that were working on. We are bouncing to Cali tomorrow though so it'll be a week before we publish anything. I have my consumer tests finished and might get something quick online in a couple of days if I'm not crawling on the floor every night.

Cool, looking forward to it! Just purchased my ARC-1882ix (upgrading from an ARC-1231ML). Using SATA SSD's and hoping the latency won't be much worse considering the (as I vaguely understand it) added SAS protocol wrapper. Also hoping my trusty Hard Disk Sentinel software will still be able to see the drives behind the arrays (fingers crossed). If your reviews show phenomenal speeds I may just have to upgrade my SSD's and bay enclosure as well.
