    Free-DC Stats Down

    Posted by Bok http://www.free-dc.org/forum/showthr...stats-are-down
This is not good. I'm getting this when booting my database server. Mobo dying ? Spent all evening working on it, but this might be the end of the stats. Can't get it to boot at all now. It's a Gigabyte mobo with a core i7 2600k.

Webserver is fine, so forums will be ok, but stats are going to be down until I can figure this out. And I'm heading out of town for a couple of days, I'll think about the options whilst away. Got to be up in about 4 hours and then drive for 9 hours to Pittsburgh.

11/13/2012 - UPDATE. Looks like it's one of the sets of SATAIII controllers on the database server. With the additional SSD drive I received last week I should be able to get the stats going today using only the other connections, though one of them is a SATAII. I'll need to replace the mobo at some point. I'd actually like to have a full hot standby but given the specs that's unlikely short term. As aI've had a few people ask if they can donate, I'm adding the donate button here too. Bok

I really appreciate Free-DC stats so I went ahead and contributed to help help get new hardware. Anybody that uses his stats should send a couple bucks. I know more than a couple hundred here use his stats and if everyone sent two bucks he could get a pair of mobos so he can fix the original and set up a hot spare.

Ya I tossed some bucks. It's tough running a non-profit website with non-profit funds its gotta be insanely hard to run a stats site for a non-profit cause.
