Foxconn Bloodrage - best BIOS (i7-980/990x)

Hello guys. I'm going back to the x58 platform, and would like to know what the best bios to use in Bloodrage? And from official bios which has compatibility with cpu's i7-980/990x? I saw many people using the G44, do you recommend? Thank you!

It's recommended to use the latest official - P11 (based on G44, but newer and official ):

As far as we know, works just fine with i7 980/980X/990X.

I don't know if G42 has support for 980/990x, but I think I remember it being hit or miss with G42 or G44 when it came to overclockability. I'm using G42 over P11 (G44)

Thanks guys! Board working with the P11 for now stable.

    Now on Windows 8...

Not here yet installed on your system. I doubt if I'll have some sort of conflict here, because the site is not owned Foxconn official drivers to install Microsoft system.

Someone using normally? What proper drivers to install here to not have conflict? Thankful again!

BloodRAGE and BloodRAGE GTI are trouble-free under Win 8 . The built-in drivers are okay and you should download latest drivers for e.g. Realtek sound or IRST, only if you want additional functionality, provided by those drivers.

Well as I have a Xonar STX, do not think I need the Realtek driver, correct?

Now what would be the IRST? So I can install W8 with all the W7 drivers that are on the official website of Bloodrage same? Thanks man for your help!

There is no Realtek driver about Xonar STX, you need to download a driver from Asus support site - particular Xonar STX Win 8 driver:
    http://support.asus.com/Download.asp...e+STX&p=21&s=3
IRST stands for "Intel Rapid Storage Technology" - a set of Intel ICH/PCH drivers (a disk controller):
    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Sear...l%C2%AE+RST%29
Again - with Win 8 you do not need W7 drivers that are on the official website of Bloodrage. You may install Win 8, use all built-in drivers supported, and download from manufacturers' sites (like the two links above) only drivers providing additional functionality.
