    Acer Iconia W700

It's been a long time since I was last truly excited about a mobile PC for a long time. With the release of the Acer Iconia W700 I am hoping that I can finally fulfill my longtime goal to have a truly modular and mobile PC with enough computing power coming from the Ivy Bridge Core i5 3317u processor.

    Basic Specs:

Screen Size: 11.6 inches IPS (350-nit)
    Max/Native Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 pixels
    Processor 1.7 GHz Core i5-3317U ( or Intel Core i3-3217U 1.8 GHz )
    RAM 4 GB SDRAM
Hard Drive 128.0 GB SSD ( or 64GB SSD )
Graphics Coprocessor Intel® HD Graphics 4000
Graphics Card Ram Size 128 MB
    Wireless Type 802.11bgn
Number of USB 3.0 Ports 1
Average Battery Life (in hours) 8 hours

I can't wait for my W700 to arrive! I envision this being a great platform for many tasks. In the docking station connected maybe via a Thunderbolt GPU for gaming, in the car as navigation + entertainment...maybe some wireless cameras...photoshop with a Waccom plugin...dunno - truly so many options!

17Watts is a tiny draw, 4GB ram might be too little for my personal taste - but without hands on it's too early to judge! Specs alone made me open my wallet for this! My last portable was a MSI atom netbook - few years ago...which never worked for me in terms of performance. Ivy bridge should do it in this tablet!

    Now some overclocking features...yum!
