Help pump problem pmp400

I'm not sure what went wrong but the pump is still working, I inspected the pcb its ok I think!
Should I re wire the 3pin and use it?

Bad connection, pins barely touched each other, high current across the teeny area, heat!!!! Cut wires back, replace both connectors. It happens. Buy new pins and connectors. Solder pins to wire after manual crimping with good soldering skilis or a $100 crimping tool.

There are two ways you can go about it. Buy a 3pin to 4pin connector or you may have one laying around some fans come with them. If not you just need to tie in the yellow and black wires from your pump to a yellow and black from a 4 pin molex. This can be done by cutting and soldering or if you prefer you can buy screw down terminals and join it that way.

The pins are very easy to remove from the 3 pin connector. Just depress the tab with a small screw driver and gently pull on the wire. Leave the blue one in the connector and you can still use it to monitor RPMs. If you need any more help or want some photos shoot me a pm and I'd be happy to oblige.

you could get something like this http://www.frozencpu.com/products/10...onitoring.html and chop it up. you can also buy pins and the plastic and make your own (but i am not having luck finding it right now)

Ok I have some molex male to female connectors "extenders" I could just remove the male side and solder it to the pump directly.

make sure to get some heatshrink to cover the solder, and i would sleeve the whole cable on top of that.
