try to go into the BIOS when it is hooked to the iGPU, and then change INIT Display First to PCIE 16X_1 see if that works.

Have you tried just one card in any of the Orange slots. Maybe your PSU isn't powerful enough for 2 cards.

Just flashed UP7 to F5o posted by Stasio over on TT, it don't get confused & fail to set adjustments in BIOS like the last 2 or 3 BIOS's have been doing for me & there are a few more memory options in there that need playing with.

I wont have time in the next week to do so but if anybody has any luck getting 32m to run @ 2800+ please share.

hey i made an OC guide here for the UP7, mostly its an OC guide for memory, samsung and hynix, and a lot of timings given there.
    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...clocking-Guide

i got 32m running fine with hynix at over 2800 in my oc guide.

I had a good read up, thank you for that. It did help with a couple of settings I wasn't using.

grabbing bios settings now. i noticed setting 250 for ddr switching freq helped ALOT. slew rates also need to be spot on. some needs 4 some needs 5 im guessing. 2666 i need 4 2800 i need 5?

    *edit*

this is roughed out "compatibility" for me. fine tuning is obviously required.

also found that I couldnt pass 32m w/ c11. c10 was alot easier in comparison.

    Thanks for the tips Zen

Knowing the board likes CL10 better than 11 gives me a little head start next week, also its good someone else appears to need the slews out at 4/5 thought it was just me.....

slews also depend on the board and memory, it might also depend on the CPU. For me I have the same kit, and it doesn't like 4-5 or anything above 3, 2 is all it needs for 2666 or 2800 on the UP7. The UD5H and UP5 all have different t-topology thus slew rates might also differ. Also with different UEFI slew rate strength might also be fine tuned and changed. Just experiment, but general rule anything over 1 is better for samsung and psc.

Nice job zen, BTW tAONPD I have to get used to writing that out, that setting can help a low with higher cas latencies, like for instance samsung C12, also if you do C12 make sure you adjust tWL accordingly.

Zen that is interesting find about SF, I never had to mess with it, but I always had a fan go over that area, I am guessing you taking it to 250 lowers it and reduces the temperature of the DRAM VRM, I will try that out.

On a side note i am glad they added those settings into a public BIOS, b/c they are always afraid o what users might do and break their stuff, I am just glad they made them public.

Yup my UD5H don't like the slew's touched... I haven't fully ruled it out but with the new F15o BIOS it runs just fine on auto but fails fast @ 4/5 the best or longest failure is at 3 for me.

The SF tip has also worked for me in the past on the UD5H. Not sure if you loose any performance adjusting it but I'll sure try it when I get the UP7 set up.

I personally love loads of options in the BIOS & would love to see them continue. If they feel they have to loose them could they not hide them like they used to do years ago something like ctrl + f1 opened up hidden stuff.

F5O is running way better than previous bios's for me. I have & can run 10.12.12 now although right now its slower than 10.13.13 so will have to look into that a bit later.

Not touched any of the new memory options or voltages other than setting load lines to extreme

Below is an unknown i7 3770K I borrowed @ stock speed with turbo so 3900 using windows 7 x64 just as it installs.

    Slews both 5

    nice mate!

I wish my IMC would run 2800 32m with samsung, it does with hynix. Odd thing is I only have 1 good IMC CPU, and its a 3570K which can barley do 4.5ghz stable lol.

I find that some of my CPUs are very picky about memory type, one of my CPUs will do hynix to 2800 but not samsung, even tho both sticks than reach 2900.

Its not something I noticed before as my 3570K appers to run any setting but the borrowed 3770K could run tighter tertiary timing up to about 4.6~4.7GHz & after that they had to go out a bit further. It could just make 4.9 but just rebooted @ 5GHz.

The second/new 3770K likes loose tertiarys & needs twr looser if you notice in the pic its at 7.

Atm lowering tWCL to 7 & or 10.12.12 = slower time

Switched out to XP & start tightening up to see what will run.

I'm quite surprised the time looks good even with the slack tertiarys.

tWCL 7 & 10.12.12 are making a small difference in XP.

Hi, I just purchased new memory for my Z77X-UP7, Corsair CORSAIR Dominator Platinum 16GB (2 x 8GB), CMD16GX3M2A2400C10. For now I just want to run it at 2400. I've read sin's guide about 100 times I think. Other that enabling XMP, should I mess with the slew rates? I want to be stable at 2400 before I attempt any additional overclock.

nah you wont need to mess with slew rates I don't think. I don't even know if your memory is hynix or samsung, but you can always try slew rates if XMP doesn't work.

Also make sure to enable CPU PLL Overvoltage, just set XMP and see what happens!

Hi Sin thanks for the reply/help. I enabled CPU PLL Overvoltage and set it to XMP, works like a charm.

Your review is the reason I got this board in the first place. (Gigabyte owes you one.) I couldn't be happier. I've been away from Intel for a while, AMD. My last lintel board was a slot 1. After slot 1, I said by by to Intel. I'm back now and couldn't be happier. I run dual crossfire, a Linux virtual machine, do photo editing, and run Skyrim with ultimate settings.

Now that my memory is stable I going to start working on my CPU OC. I have a H100i H2O, I'm looking for an OC something a few notches under max.

    Thanks again !!
