Just had a quick look & xmp timings set & look as they should or at least the same as UD5H & board boots fine using XMP settings

    Voltage: According to BIOS
    XMP Disabled board sets 1.524
    XMP 1/2400 & 2/2600 board sets 1.668

I have DDR loadline to extreme BTW so may be a little different with other settings

I have not checked to see if XMP sets VTT but thats no big deal for me anyway as I just go manual.

The board sets CR 2 same as my UD5H

Seen some boards that at least set the VTT value as per the XMP VTT in BIOS..... don't know if it actually sets the voltage though...... This is also the same behaviour as my UD5H

XMP usually wont set VTT, on other boards they auto increase the VTT and SA voltage depending on the DRAM divider.

Put the UD7 back in my box today & run some 24/7 tests..... 10x Max RAM ITB & 1 hour prime torture 4096 + max RAM (7000) stable enough for me...... board looks real good on F5G BIOS

    Slew both 5

I also run 3DMARK01 again @ 5G & its still down a couple thousand points on the UD5H taking into consideration F5G has no legacy enhance option in the BIOS.

5G 2800 boots/runs with my LV2666 CL10's but is not strong enough to pass 32M yet & atm I cant boot 2933 like on UD5H. For me the board looses USB & hangs in the middle of the run. Best I have run yet is fail test 23!!!! @ 1.68v so its close. Voltage & timings don't help.

The mega phase PWM is awesome @ 5G think im down to 1.32v nice & stable for 5G 3D01 & 32M..... I got a screenshot somewhere will post up later.

I don't doubt it buddy its early days for the UP7.

Its running great atm with a decent 24/7 clock so I'm happy & it can only get better for overclocking & messing about as it matures.

A couple things I notice that are different than the UD5H firstly the bios has no pwm/voltage control for the cpu fan you can just set normal, silent etc. Not a problem however My Kuhler 920 is now audible where as before it was silent. The other thing is in the memory voltage bit there's a new feature cant remember what its called 2nd one down I think that just shows a number like 655xx rather than a voltage can you tell me what this is & what impact it has?

Edit: Dram Voltage Control / Data Tx Reference (CH A/B) 65535

yea i noticed there was no voltage/PWm control over the fan port, because i use that sometimes. I think because they separated fan control into different ones, that means that they will have to let go of some features, i am not sure on this though.

that number like that is only on this F5G BIOS, it will prob be fixed down the road.

Had a quick go with the new BIOS F5J

Intel RAID ROM has been updated to 11.6
CPU fan voltage/pwm: same as previous bios
Legacy enhance option: same as previous bios
Extra memory voltage feature "Data Tx Reference (CH A/B) 65535" gone/fixed
Setting full screen logo to disabled = hang post code 62 or reboot at code 62
2800 will not boot with same settings as previous bios.... will have a proper go later but dont look good atm

Other than that it looks to work ok @ 4.5 2666 with tight timings as the previous bios did.

With my sticks I find if I remember correctly! 3 ~ 8 post/boot, 5 is prime torture stable then 6,7 & 8 loose prime stability more & more with higher setting. 9 wont boot although this has not been fully tested just didn't work for me a couple times.

    ####

I cant find any benefit to the new F5J BIOS, 10.12.12 tight runs 2720 32m (full power) i.e. XP, affinity, priority, wazza but I still cant get 2800 to run (straight up) i.e. just boot & run without either locking up, failing early or rebooting. I have been through voltages & timings & can find no progress/more stable setting. I have also managed to bend the BIOS out of whack twice to the point it wont set changes & CMOS clear fails to do anything requiring a re-flash to get going again.

Edit: Forgot to say 2800 booted fine with a bit more VTT, didn't find minimum boot but 1.2 worked for me.

    2nd Edit: Add 2720 SS

    Slew both 5

sounds. . . . unpleasant to say the least.

Is PSC at least looking better with F5J?

Sort of mate It does run good just obviously I like to mess about same as most on here & for that Its not there yet. Saving grace is If it bothered me that much I can take it out on the UD5H

I have not tested PSC yet & TBH I don't have any good PSC to do any damage with anyway. My Trident 2000 CL9 at least run 2600 8.10.8 with the last BIOS although I don't like to beat on them as they are my old faithful/backup 24/7 sticks & have earned an easy life.

Yes I got them yesterday from your TT thread buddy

    F5 on the UP7
Date stamp one day newer than F5J
    RAID BIOS 11.1
Legacy enhance option is there... 3D01 not tested
    Slews are not there
Disable GB boot screen works without fault
Could not boot 2800 with known good settings or a bit slacker & bit more voltage

My default 4.5GHz 2666 runs stable although somehow needs tWTR up a bit to do so.....

Orange slots running fine here with single GTX680.

    Which slot will not work?

Are you trying to run CF/SLI?

I take it you have the video option in BIOS to auto rather than just IGP?

Maybe its a BIOS problem.... maybe its your board/PLX Chip IDK

i saw the results of the TEAM.AU and i saw the board is capable of 4 way sli/cf when in installed mine i put the vga in the bypass slot(black one) but when i got the second vga nothing, blank screen, the system boot but no video in it. change the video imput from the vga to the igp and there was the video, changed the options in bios and nothing, i thought it is the plx broken, but i want to make sure before RMA it

    best regards

I would say if you have tested just one known good working card in each orange slot & you get no video there must be a problem. I would wait a little longer for more comments or pm Dinos & ask him what he thinks before returning/RMA'ing the board..... you never know it could be something we are overlooking.

if you have a GPU in the black slot then no orange slots will work, so try only putting GPUs in the orange slots.

Also try plugging in the extra PCI-E power plug, it looks like an SATA power receptacle, it is required for 4-way and recommended for 3-way, however a lot of people with detection problems find that plugging in that extra SATA connector helps a lot.

i started using the vga in the bypass slot, when i received the second vga y put both of them in slot 1 and slot 3(both orange) and nothing, it goes blank screen no signal, but the system boots and starts, if i connect the monitor to the igp then i have video

the extra pcie power is connected and nothing

    best regards
