Crosshair V formula and 16gb dimms

Has anyone tried loading their crosshair V formula with 64gb of ram?
I'm thinking about grabbing these but I'm not sure it will work. The board specs say 32gb max.

    64GB sounds sweet!
I'll finally be able to keep those images in ram in Photoshop
Step aside, and you won't have to feel the awesome wrath of my mustache!

All midrange to high end AM3/AM3+ ASUS desktop motherboards support ECC.

There's nothing rare about it...literally every board does, M4A series, M5A series, Crosshair IV, Crosshair V boards all do.

But no support at all to registered memory modules.

Okay, but the structure of your post was confusing. While I understand what you were saying about registered modules...

The initial post points to a registered ecc memory module. I just wanted to be perfectly clear that the mainboard ( CrosshairV formula ) doesn't support that module.

You are right about ecc memory support in previous and present Asus boards.

any idea what crucial means by "load reduced"? are these simply registered dimms by another name?

those are quad ranked they should not work. you are not going to find anything until the spring as the 1GB chips are starting to sample now. i also do not see what you could do other than make a giant ram disk with 64GB of ram.
