A lot of the big SSD companies intentionally skipped 5.0.3 cuz 5.0.4 was in testing at the time when .3 was released. They'll be releasing an update soon I'm pretty sure...this is what they were waiting for.

Look for SanDisk after the first week of October. 5.0.5 goes to manufactures then, at least that is the last I heard about it...three days ago.

Also, they haven't really been mum about it. They did send that great looking guy from TweakTown a drive with 503 loaded on it.

Biwin has 504 on their support page.

CoreRise has 504 when using their web updater (it pulls the latest FW from their server which is really cool).

Hmmm, to update my RAID 0 array of Wildfire drives and move to them over to Intel RAID (4x120GB in RAID 0 on an LSI 9265)?

Anyhow, Transcend also has 5.0.4. I'm writing up the SSD720 and SSD320 right now. The 720 is kind of a bad ass with RAISE free programing and SanDisk 24nm flash.

SK Hynix has 504 as well but I think it is only on the South Korean site.

ADATA has been dragging their balls on 503 and 504. There are even people inside the company raising hell about it.

Sounds familiar. Intel is doing the same with their 120, 180 and 240gb (afaik) whilst maintaining a 5yr warranty vs 3yr for SanDisk. This is probably due to Intel using their top binned nand. Too bad IMFT isn't churning out their own toggle...it'd be interesting to see how cherry picked toggle modules would perform.

I doubt Intel will be updating the 400i fw to incorporate the 'new' 503/504 fw since 505 is now in the works...

lol seems so, i couldnt update my drives to latest 5.02a as they fail to update, at first it was wrong the flash at their site i reported passed weeks then they put the correct model for my SX900's but wont update i dont really want to erase my SSD's that are part of a RAID0 to see if is that...it should work either way like on intel, but no go, reported this and a month and no reply at all

FW 2.25 on OCZ now available. Not much changes:
    Issues resolved since version 2.22:

    • Fixed the normalized value calculation for SMART Attribute 9 (Power-On Hours)

    • Fixed a SATA error recovery sequence coming out of PS1

    • Fixed an issue during SMART self-test extended that could cause an unexpected read error

I found info from the tweaktown guy.

FW 5.0.3 was not WHQL certified, that's why 5.0.4 was needed.

FW 5.0.5 adds new Nand support and may give a little performance boost.

Let me expand on this a bit. There is WHQL for Win 7 and Win 8. Win 8 is going to be a pain in the ass for all SSD markets because they pulled the TRIM response time in from 70ms to an unknown by me at this time number. I just know it is a shorter window.

Also, I just got my hands on 5.0.5 but it's for an async drive so I won't be able to tell what's going on till I get it for a proper SSD. It's a good start though.

That pretty much only leaves ADATA and a few scrubs that haven't updated yet.
